Facebook vice president for mobile and global access policy Kevin Martin said at the India Economic Convention 2015.
Facebook is
looking the innovative ways to provide free internet access to India, also said
that if they provide Wi-Fi service then they will need to invest in
infrastructure and which will increase the budget of the project, with that the
cost of using internet will also hike which Indian users will not pay for that.
Currently for that Facebook is working with its owned drones flying over the
sky also “unmanned aerial vehicle”
The same work of providing free internet access to other
countries also but as far as to concern about the value that how much users is
going to pay for that will hopefully unextable, but for that Facebook is going
to launch its expensive made material of drones flying over the sky, with the
low cost people will indulje more in this service, Facebook Wi-Fi will not be
free but it will be a cheaper service but internet.org will be free, usually it
is now full free support in South Africa but soon will be accessable in India
too, the Vice Precident of Facebook Kevin Martin said in an interview.
“Martin added that Facebook’s Internet
service would come without advertisement and videos thereby claiming lesser
bandwidth and benefiting users. He also reiterated that the social networking
giant supports the concept of net neutrality and internet.org initiative was to
enable people to realise the importance of Internet by providing access to
basic web service free of data cost.”
